Strategic Plan
The strategic plan for the American Association of Engineering Societies is more of a set of long-range goals to take AAES to 2004.
Objective
Recommend to the AAES Board of Governors a Long Range Plan for the organization to reach and achieve its mission and vision in the next four years (2001-2004) of effectively coordinating public policy and public awareness issues for the U.S.-based engineering profession.
Basic Principles
After four years of re-organizing and building its financial foundation, AAES is now ready and capable of charting a course to achieve its mission and vision statement as developed four years ago. The current AAES infrastructure will remain the basis for moving forward in accomplishing the current mission and vision. Thus, the long-range plan is built around the existing four program areas of public policy, communications and public awareness, the Engineering Workforce Commission, and international activities. Also the AAES structures of councils, committees, and task forces will be maintained.
