Paul J. Kostek is the principal of Air Direct Solutions, a systems engineering/project management consulting firm based in Seattle, Washington. Paul works with companies in defining system architecture and design, system requirements, and software development standards. He is also a consultant with Enea TekSci.
In addition to being 2003 AAES chair, Paul was the president of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE-USA, 1999), and a member of IEEE's Board of Directors. He served as president of the IEEE Aerospace & Electronics Systems Society (2000 and 2001), director of the Washington Aerospace Alliance of the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Association (PANA), and president of the Seattle Metro Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE, 2002).
Paul is a senior member of IEEE, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, INCOSE, the Society of Automotive Engineers, and the Project Management Institute. Paul received a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth (1979).
